This robust model is based off the popular A06 Freedom Chair and can accommodate users up to 25 stones/160kgs. The powerchair comes with two 300 watt motors that will take you to speeds of up to 4mph and have a a range of 9 miles or more from a single battery (a second battery is also available).
It is lightweight, folding and compact when not in use, which means it is easy to move and store. It's ideal for people who travel by car, cruise ship or plane with their chair as it can easily fit into the cabin. It also comes with an airline-approved lithium-ion battery and adaptor for off-board charge.
The powerchair is controlled by a joystick mounted on either armrest. It can be used left- or right-handed. The foot plate can be raised to allow easy user transfers, and the tyres are 12" all-terrain PU so it is able to tackle more difficult terrain.
A handy under-seat bag as well as a an adjustable zippered pocket on the back of the seat provide plenty of space to store personal items. To ensure safety for the user, there are electromagnetic brakes and an adjustable lap belt.
The Freedom A06L is maneuverable and smaller than a mobility scooter, so it is able to maneuver through narrow spaces like shopping centers or lifts. It can be able to climb gradients up to 8%. A kerb climber option is available, allowing you to drive up the ramp or step without assistance.
